BCLC Sportsbook Now Powered By SG Corp.
The BCLC has roped in the expertise and services of Scientific Games and its OpenTrade Managed Trading Services (MTS) product for the purpose of upgrading and expanding the Crown corporation’s online sports betting service offerings. The BCLC’s PlayNow.com online gaming site is now powered by SG’s proprietary sports betting management service, and as a result, the entire offering now runs boosted by additional product- and support services. These include data feed services, pre-match pricing, and also in-play pricing. Pricing products apply to the full range of US sports betting services.
The agreement authorises the BCLC to make use of MTS for a period of 4 years, i.e. through 2024. Scientific Games’ full OpenSports product suite now runs fully integrated with the BCLC’s own online gaming and sports betting platform. SG’s product is essentially a risk and liability management system that ensures the integrity of data and operations.
BCLC A Valued SG Customer
Keith O’Loughlin, who is the Senior Vice President of Sportsbook & Digital at Scientific Games, has in the meantime described the BCLC as a “valued” customer. O’Loughlin described the partnership with the Crown corporation as the slotting into place the “final” piece of the jigsaw puzzle necessary in order for the BCLC to offer to its own customers the variety of sports betting experience that is backed by reliable and regulated technology.
The SVP also said that SG Corp. is very much looking forward to what all the next chapter in the pair’s association may bring. He described the Crown corporation as being served by a team perfectly capable of bringing the corporation forward into the future of digital online gaming and sports betting experiences.
Once the integration is complete and fully in place, the Crown corporation will be in a position to offer to its customers a combination of 300k events, 200k in-play events, and more than 25 million markets in total annually. This all obviously once sports activities have returned to normal capacity world-wide.
New VP Of Legal & Compliance
The Crown corporation also recently announced the appointment of Marie-Noëlle Savoie as the corporation’s new Vice President of Legal, Compliance and Security Chief Compliance Officer. Savoie will assume her new role on June 29 this year. She will be stationed at the Crown corp.’s Vancouver office.
Savoie previously served in the position of Vice President of Private Client Group Compliance at Raymond James Ltd., as well as in the position of Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer at Raymond James Trust (CA).
