WSOP’s Coast to Coast III Ends with a Bang

WSOP.com’s Coast to Coast III ended its 51-event circuit with a bang this year. Online poker players in the tournament enjoyed another extremely successful Sunday over in the US of A, with the online main event wrapping up by delivering on its impressive $200,000 guarantee.

Ultimately, it was player ‘Ayy_lmao’ who rose to the top of the event, taking home an enviable haul of $55,900. There were plenty of other big winners during the tourney as well, however, which kicked off on November 18 with the Coast to Coast III #47 – $25,000 NLH – Special Weekly Sunday Deepstack.

The prize pool in this event came to an impressive $32,305 after it attracted a total of 252 entrants, 284 re-buys, and 174 add-ons. The Special Weekly Sunday Deepstack was the first of five Coast to Coast events to take place on the weekend. 40 players in total cashed a minimum of $690 each, and after nearly 9 hours of play, it was Ronald “MarlaSinger” Pease who won outright for $8,399.

‘Ayy_Lmao’ Wins $200k Main Event

Next up was the The Coast to Coast III #48 – $200,000 NLH – Main Event – the biggest event of the weekend and the festival’s main highlight. Its $200,000 guarantee was smashed thanks to 291 entrants and 139 re-buys, which generated a huge prize pool of $215,000. Again, 40 players made the money for a minimum of $1,183 each, while it was ‘Ayy_lmao’ who eventually took the top title and  $55,900.

The top prize may have been won, but the fun certainly wasn’t over yet. Next on the schedule was the Coast to Coast III #50 – $25,000 NLH – Classic Freezeout II, with 177 entrants and a buy-in of just $215. The prize pool again exceeded the guarantee to hit $35,400, and no less than 30 players made the money for $322 each. After 5.5 hours of play, it was Drazen “HODLer” Ilich who shipped the tourney for $9,558, followed closely by ‘Bow2Me’ and ‘WQ10R14’ in second and third.

The final Coast to Coast event of the festival again smashed its guarantee, and a total of 35 players managed to score a minimum cash of $233 or more. After 4.5 hours of grueling action, player ‘RIP_Neiko’ shipped the event for a whopping $8,826, after beating Veronica ‘pokeryogi’ Dunn in heads-up play.
