After a well-deserved break for the festive season, things will quickly pick back up again thanks to stops across Canada, the US and Europe.

Gardens Championship Coming in 2019

The first stop for 2019 will see the Tour returning to California’s Gardens Casino – the very same spot where Season XVII kicked off. The upcoming $10,000 WPT Gardens Poker Championship will kick off on January 12.

The final table, on the other hand, will play out at the HyperX eSports Arena Las Vegas at Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, becoming the first Main Tour in WPT history to have the final table filmed for TV at the arena. It comes as part of the Tour’s pioneering 2019 plan to pair final tables together in Vegas, some of which will be delayed by a few weeks as a result.

WPT CEO Adam Pliska has noted that his organization is proud to announce more events for its growing Season XVII calendar. He added that as well as the great events on the schedule; the Tour is looking forward to seeing the first of the season’s final tables playing out at the HyperX eSports Arena.

Extra Stops’ Schedule Confirmed

The announcement of the schedule updates also revealed that for the first time in history, Choctaw Casino Resort in Oklahoma will be hosting a second event within the same season. The WPT Choctaw, which saw Brady Holiman win $469k back in August, will be taking place from May 17-20, and the final table of the tourney will also be taking place at HyperX in Las Vegas.

VP of Global Tour Management Angelica Hael added that her firm’s players and gaming partners deserve the best platform available in the industry – and what better way to provide this than within the new official home of poker at the HyperX Arena?

Upcoming Season XVII stops include the WPT Seminole Rock N Roll Poker Open at Seminole Hard Rock from November 23-28, followed by the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic at Bellagio Las Vegas from December 10-15.
