Players’ Guide to WSOP-C Playground 2018
Preparations for the WSOP-C Playground at Playground Poker Club are already underway to ensure that the event runs smoothly from August 23 to September 3. It will see countless players battling it out for several top titles at the iconic Kahnawake poker room, just a few miles outside of Montreal.
The WSOP-C Playground will mark the launch of Season IV of the WSOP International Poker Circuit, and also hails the return of the World Series of Poker to Canada following a two-year dry spell. This year’s series will boast 7 WSOP Circuit Ring events, including the coveted $1,100 WSOP-C Playground Main Event with a thrilling $2 million guaranteed prize pool, while the overall event list for the series will pay out $4 million to a handful of skilled winners!
Players that are planning to attend the event from further than Montreal can visit the Playground WSOP-C Event website’s Travel section for handy information about Air Canada discounts exclusively designed for them. Once players have arrived in Montreal, they are also encouraged to enjoy Playground’s complimentary free valet service should they decide to drive to and from the club.
Enter Via 8 Mega Satellites
Live events will kick off on August 23 with the Live Day 1A and the $1-million $330 Colossus event, but players can get started sooner if they wish. Both foreign and Canadian participants can enjoy an early start by signing up for one of the four online Day 1 tournaments on partypoker’s website, which will take place from August 19 to August 22.
Online players will also be able to enjoy partypoker’s LIVE Dollars, which can be used to enter any event in WSOP-C, including live satellites. Anyone who chooses to build their LIVE Dollars bankroll will also be treated to a slew of promotions, including a whopping $50k Last Longer during the main event.
For those who cannot play online, there will also be a Three Day Satellite Frenzy running from August 20 to August 22, with one satellite each day for the Main Event, Monster Stack, and High Roller events. Earning a seat through winning a satellite is a great way for players to increase their tournament equity, and there are 210 seats to claim across 8 Mega Satellites this year.
Ring Events for Every Player
Last but not least, there are 7 Ring Events in total in the WSOP-C Playground. With 4 online Day 1 events and 9 Live Day 1’s, there will be plenty of opportunities for players to win their WSOP-C rings and claim huge winnings as well.
Lower punters may enjoy the $660 Monster Stack and $330 Closer games, while high rollers have plenty of choice between the $2,200 High Roller and $5,300 Super High Roller events.
Of course, the $1,100 WSOP-C Playground Main Event will be the main attraction, starting on August 25 and continuing until August 31 with a guaranteed $2 million prize pool to claim your share of!
