Microgaming Reveals New Poker Client, Prima
Isle of Man iGaming giant Microgaming is currently celebrating the launch of its brand new poker client, Prima, on the Microgaming Poker Network. The new product has been engineered to provide a premium gaming experience to players both in Canada and other regulated regions across the globe.
Designed with online players in mind, the modern poker client boasts a streamlined user interface that facilitates effortless navigation to the software’s cash, tournament and casino games. Prima also includes a blind cash game library, along with a simplistic rewards system that is easy to understand and to take advantage of.
The client has also been created with a powerful focus on improving user experience and pushing responsible gaming through the use of total transparency. Prima includes a useful player history module that displays players’ overall losses and profits across all of their games, which can be filtered to any specific time period too. This allows players to keep an eye on their game-play and make informed choices about their gaming sessions at all times.
Modular Platform and New Features
With the help of cross-platform technology, Prima has been created in a modular style, and is powered from the same base that will allow Microgaming to rapidly deploy updates across all of its platforms simultaneously. The new technology will deliver updates and new features to players and regulated markets faster than ever, as well as supporting new devices that are released in the future.
The new poker product comes complete with Ultra High Definition graphics to give players exceptional resolution in all games. These HD graphics are optimized for all supported devices as well, including a wide range of smartphone and tablet models. The fun doesn’t stop there, though; a new feature also allows players to turn their hand histories into GIFs, which can be instantly shared across popular social media platforms.
Full Integration of Prima by 31 July
The new software hit the MPN on Thursday, 26 July, and will be integrated and available for all players worldwide by 31 July. In the meantime, Microgaming CCO Jean-Luc Ferriere has hailed the release of Prima as another huge move in his company’s strategy to create products that offer poker players the best possible user experience through an intuitive, omni-channel client.
Head of Product (Network Games) at Microgaming, Alex Scott, also shared his thoughts, adding that this is his company’s biggest and most important MPN release. According to Scott, Prima comes as a culmination of a long-term strategy to revitalise Microgaming’s poker products and overshadow its competition – which the new software will no doubt achieve over the coming months.
