888 & Caesars Extend Poker Partnership
Following the successful extension of a multi-year B2B Poker link-up between casino and entertainment giants Caesars Interactive Entertainment and 888, the World Series of Poker online Poker rooms get to enjoy the best online gaming tech support available to the industry for several more years. The multi-year extension has been lauded by the 888 brand as a key step in its own development strategy over the long term.
The extended partnership comes at a critical time for the World Series of Poker, as it looks to make a grand entry into new regulated online Poker markets. The partnership will also allow the 888 brand to continue to act as the driving power behind the only interstate shared player market in the U.S, which includes players from Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Poker 8 Comes To The U.S.
Exciting too, is that 888 will for the first time ever launch its Poker 8 software in the U.S. online Poker market. First launched in Europe during November 2020, the software makes it possible for players to compete in multi-flight as well as multi-day tournaments. Exciting new animations and graphics have also been added on.
According to World Series of Poker Executive Director and Caesars Interactive SVP Ty Stewart, the link-up between the two industry giants has been a major success story to date, and one both companies are especially proud of. Stewart said the WSOP and Caesars are positive about the potential future of real-money online Poker in the U.S. market.
888 will also continue to support Caesars Interactive casino brands Harrah’s and the WSOP Casino in New Jersey, which would not have been possible without the successful extension of the partnership between the two online entertainment giants.
A Potential-Rich Partnership
Perhaps most exciting of all is that the extended partnership will allow the 888 brand to potentially gain a foothold in all-new U.S. jurisdictions, including the state of Pennsylvania, being one of the states where Caesars Interactive holds a licence to operate.
888’s powering of the WSOP has seen the online Poker giant involved in the powering of one of the world’s largest Poker brands ever since 2013, explained 888 SVP head of U.S. Yaniv Sherman. The SVP said the 888 team is looking forward to enjoying and improving the successful relationship for many more years to come.
The extended relationship between the two major brands furthermore also allows 888 to make headway with the brand’s long-term strategy for the U.S. online Poker and online casino games market, said Sherman.
