Yggdrasil Extends Slot Mechanics To Partners

Leading online casino games giant Yggdrasil has opened up its proprietary mechanical frameworks in such a way that slot mechanics such as Splitz, Gigablox, and MultiMAX are now available for incorporation by development partners part of its YG Masters program. What this means for YG Masters partners is that studio developers can now leverage their own offerings by building games around said mechanics – with a renewed focus on player retention.

The mechanics, all of which were first introduced in 2020, have already proven exceptionally successful and well-received by players in several regulated markets. All three mechanics focus specifically on new ways of interacting with rapidly evolving iGaming landscape:

  • Gigablox – featured in Hades and Lucky Neko, brings gigantic symbols into the equation, which symbols can potentially lead to massive wins when landed in stacked appearance.
  • MultiMAX – featured in Multifly!, has its focus on the accumulation of multipliers and cascading wins.
  • Splitz – made its debut in top titles such as Temple Stacks, Syncronite, and Neon Rush, and allows mystery symbols to be split on the reels. These split symbols in turn lead to additional scatter symbols and larger winning clusters.

Ready For The Roll-Out

Two of the first YG Masters partner studios to have signed up for the use of the mechanics are DreamTech Gaming and Bang Bang Games. Both studios have confirmed that exciting new titles featuring all three mechanics will be rolled out all throughout 2021.

Having the option to extend an already operationally defining alliance with Yggdrasil via the gaming giant’s latest mechanical framework is exciting and promising in terms of future releases, said DreamTech Gaming Business Manager Halvor Dahl of the thrilling announcement. Dahl said DreamTech is thrilled at the prospect of combining the mechanics with the studio’s own unique approach to games development.

Yggdrasil Building A Brand

What has impressed the Bang Bang Games team about the three new mechanics is the way in which Yggdrasil has incorporated Splitz, MultiMAX, and Gigablox into exciting new titles while at the same time working towards building said mechanics into familiar and industry-recognised brands. According to Managing Director Frank McPolin, the Bang Bang team are huge fans of Yggdrasil’s portfolio of proprietary mechanics – including of course GATI, which enables partner studios to roll out exciting new titles with efficiency in terms of distribution, as well as with speed.

YG Masters creates a world of new opportunities and leverage for studios across the Yggdrasil operator partner network – a network now due to benefit in even more and bigger ways from the rise of exciting new innovation and technology than ever assumed possible before.
