Microgaming Partners With PearFiction Studios
Casino games and iGaming giant Microgaming has announced an exclusive new partnership with Montreal-based games developer/studio PearFiction Studios. The deal will see PearFiction supply iGaming content to the industry leader’s proprietary worldwide games distribution platform, and will officially kick off with the February 4 release of mobster romp and skylarking online slots adventure, Chicago Gold.
PearFiction previously worked alongside Microgaming on a once-off project when the pair linked up to create the punk rock themed The Smashing Biscuit, which collaboration the casino games giant says has now led to the exciting new partnership. Microgaming officially introduced PearFiction Studios as its latest big-talent partner via a special webinar on Jan. 28.
About Chicago Gold
Chicago Gold slot, in the meantime, is a mob-family escapade based on the notorious Volstead prohibition era of the 1920s. The storied title will feature gangsters and law enforcement authorities as they clash on the issues of mob-rule, the bootlegging flouting of the rules of prohibition, and easy money.
The 5x5 and 40 paylines slot will also feature Wilds, a Free Games feature, Collect Cash Respins, a Multi Collect feature, Multipliers, and the chance to nab an incredible 5,000x the bet in jackpot prize money. The high-volatility slot will be PearFiction’s official debut on the Microgaming network, and will be followed shortly after by the release of a second title by the same studio – a prehistoric adventure titled Blazing Mammoth, the casino games giant has revealed.
Previous titles released by PearFiction Studios include the cute canine adventure Pug Royale, Crazy Bunny Spin, the fairy tale-inspired Hansel & Gretel’s Fortune, and the inter-planetary escapades of the Outer Space Invaders.
The Latest Big Deal
PearFiction Studios CEO Thierry Semoff has in the meantime referred to the deal with the casino games giant as “transformational” from a distribution point of view. Semoff said the deal represented real and valuable recognition to the studio, and Microgaming’s interest in PearFiction a sure indication that the studio’s hard work is paying off. Semoff said the PearFiction team regarded Microgaming to be a pioneer of the iGaming industry.
Microgaming Director of Games Andrew Booth said the iGaming giant’s decision to team up with its latest studio partner originated from innovation, amazing artwork, and astute technical insight on the part of PearFiction Studios. Booth said he looked forward to the release of the duo’s first official combined effort on the Microgaming network.
Booth also reiterated once more the casino games giant’s commitment to establishing significant partnerships with blossoming studio talent.
