Lightning Box Inks Deal With Konami Gaming
Leading iGaming and land-based slots developer Lightning Box has inked a significant new supply and distribution deal with Vegas-based Konami Gaming.
Founded back in 2004, the Aussie developer, with its headquarters based in Sydney, has over the years built quite the professional reputation for itself, and is the team behind some of the most popular casino games on the market today.
Lightning Box will as an initial offering make available to Konami Gaming its Chicken Fox, Silver Lioness 4x, and Eagle Sun slot titles. These games – all of which have been classified as top performing titles - will all go live at Konami-serviced land-based casinos in 2021. More titles are expected to be added to the distributed collection as time progresses.
Great Progress On Both Ends
The deal is regarded to be equal to significant progress by Konami Gaming Senior VP and chief product and strategy officer Victor Duarte. Commenting on the new deal concluded between Konami Gaming and Lightning Box, Duarte described the latter as being a company with an established track record in the US market – not unlike that enjoyed by Konami itself. Duarte described adding Lightning Box’s games to Konami’s own machines to be a decision that makes perfect business sense.
To Lightning Box co-founder and CEO Peter Causley, the deal marks an opportunity to grow even more and bigger and more expansively on the global front. Progress on three separate fronts has now been achieved, said Causley, i.e. land-based, online, and social – all within the context and region of North America.
The Lightning Box Story So Far
Lightning Box earlier on this year in May announced having secured a licence from British Columbia’s Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch. This bestowed upon Lightning Box the right to supply its titles and gaming content to Crown corporation the British Columbia Lottery Corp (BCLC).
The licence granted by B.C.’s gaming authority saw to even more extensive North American expansion for Lightning Box. The developer launched its very first titles in Canada when it signed up with Loto Quebec toward the end of last year.
Lightning Box provides online and land-based casino gaming content to some of the world’s leading casino and online casino operators, with industry giants such as Paddy Power Betfair, the famous Borgata, SG Digital, UniBet, White Hat Gaming, Betsson, the Rank Group, Ladbrokes Coral, and SkillOnNet, all counting among its content-distribution operator partners.
Games developed by Lightning Box include Extreme Fishing, Toro Rockets, Eagle Sun, Astro Cat Deluxe, Astro Pug, RedRoo, Dolphin Gold, and many more.
