Evolution Gaming Granted Pennsylvanian Licence

Live casino specialist Evolution Gaming has been granted a conditional licence to operate in the US state of Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has granted a conditional Interactive Gaming Manufacturing licence to the company. The licence, though conditional, is a highly significant step forward for Evolution Gaming. The provider will now be in a position to supply its live studio streaming services to casino operators in the state. Evolution Gaming will be providing live casino games from a planned new Pennsylvania studio.

The iGaming brand is paving the way for progress. The company became the first live casino service provider to achieve Preliminary Waiver status in the Garden state, and has now managed to become the first provider to be granted a permission to trade in Pennsylvania too.

Meeting Demands

It all comes down to the phenomenal US demand for live casino games, says Evolution Gaming’s Chief Business Development Officer (America & Land-Based) James Stern. It’s a delight to be able to establish and open a studio in the state, said Stern. The new studio will enable the brand to make available to operators and players the magic of the Live Casino experience – something that, according to Stern, the provider is very much looking forward to.

Evolution Gaming is also currently in the process of doubling up on the size of its Atlantic City studio. The larger studio will enable the provider to supply live casino services to more of New Jersey’s operators. Provision will also be made for dedicated tables and branded environments. The existing games portfolio too, will supposedly undergo a complete overhaul and the brand will be adding what is commonly referred to as “crowd pleasers” to the current line-up. Currently, Roulette, Blackjack, Poker, Sic Bo, Baccarat and a host of other games are available in multiple variations, but the brand has also explored the TV game show style genre, and Dream Catcher and Deal Or No Deal have been extremely well received.

The Winds Of Change

The now much more liberal attitude towards casino games and especially live games in particular was without a doubt kicked into motion when the US Supreme Court lifted the ban on sports betting in the country.

The lifting of the ban served a dual purpose in that it not only opened up the sports betting playing field, but also created a more ideal setting for gambling games in general. A major change in attitude can be detected all over the US as more and more states opt in on legalised sports betting markets.
