Lightning Box Launches With Loto-Quebec
Top Australian slots studio Lightning Box has just signed in on a deal that ticks all of the boxes on an expansion dream come true. The company has, thanks to an integration deal with SG Digital, concluded a games distribution agreement with none other than Loto-Quebec. Expanding further up North and even as far as into Canada is something the studio has regarded as an ultimate milestone for the longest time and that goal-post has now officially been reached.
The first Lighting Box game to be rolled out in the province was the smash-hit Lightning Horseman. The game proved an instant hit, doing the unthinkable by becoming the operator’s highest earning game ever within a matter of 24 hours post-launch. A second title has since seen the Quebec light too, being the popular game Silver Lion. More games are expected to be added to the mix as time wears on.

The Future Beckons
Lighting Box Chief Executive Officer Peter Causley is understandably excited about the future of the slots studio on Canadian soil. Causley said during a recent interview that it had been a truly exciting event to be able to launch the studio’s very first game in the country, and that what it made the entire thing all that more of a celebratory event is the fact that the game that was launched first-up was the iconic Lightning Horseman.
Causley also referred to the fact that even though the studio has not been present in the country for very long, Lightning Box does have a great deal of experience in North American markets in general. Causley said that he felt fully confident that the studio’s first point of entry into Canada would go down a massive big success in local entertainment history.
A First For Everyone
The new partnership is obviously a first for operator Loto-Quebec too, and one that’s being regarded with as much excitement as on Lightning Box’s end of the deal. Loto-Quebec Product Manager Marie-Eve Laberge said of the latest content and distribution deal to have been entered into by the state Lottery operator that it’s an exciting time for everyone involved to be part of a new direction. Laberge said that it was a delight to be in a position to be the first Canadian operator to launch the top studio’s titles in the country.
Laberge furthermore referred to the success enjoyed by Lightning Box; and specifically Lightning Horseman; across the border on the US side and said that she could think of no reason why the same won’t prove true for the studio and its games in Canada.
