IGT Secures Instant Ticket DC Lottery Deal
And so it’s come to pass that leading gaming and Lottery solutions provider International Game Technology, better known as IGT, has won a Lottery of sorts of its own. According to a recent announcement made public by the Lotto-tech provider, IGT subsidiary IGT Global Solutions Corporation has been named the instant ticket provider of choice by the District of Columbia’s Office of Lottery and Gaming (DC Lottery).
IGT furthermore confirmed that the supply deal will be for a period of 1 year, meaning that the service provider will be providing instant win Lotto games to DC Lottery all the way through December 1st, 2020. Said IGT in its official announcement, provision has also been made for the extension of the contract by mutual agreement between the parties, and for a maximum of total of 4 times, with each extension; if called into effect; set to last a total of 12 months each.
More Than Just Tickets
IGT will be providing a full-service package deal to DC Lottery and will in addition to the instant win tickets be supplying services focused on game planning and running of promotions, support services aimed at visual and graphic support, ticket printing and management services, and also support relating to specified business analytics. Instant ticket processing was named as part of the support service structure too.
Instant tickets are highly popular among many players and it’s a market that has become one representing “strong growth opportunities” for DC Lottery. This is according to DC Lottery Executive Director Beth Bresnahan. Continued Bresnahan, the inclusion of instant tickets in the existing portfolio of games offered by DC Lottery emphasises yet again the operator’s commitment towards expanding the entertainment options available to players, as well as ensuring that those options ultimately reach all its retail locations.
IGT No Newbie To DC Lottery
The latest deal isn’t IGT’s first brush with the provision of Lottery games and services to DC Lottery. The two companies entered into a partnership agreement for the first time back in 2014, which agreement appointed IGT to be DC Lottery’s official print vendor. IGT has been serving the operator in that capacity for the past 5 years and will now merely be expanding its products and range of support services in favour of the Lottery operator so as to include instant win tickets and related services.
IGT Chief Operating Officer Jay Gendron has commented on the latest agreement and has said that the provider is looking forward to helping DC Lottery reach its sales goals.
