It almost all sounds too good to be true, and there certainly is obvious benefits to this approach of weight loss. Most, in fact, will work skipped meals into their dieting plans, without even thinking of it as fasting. But it must always be kept in mind that the idea is to not actively starve oneself, but work skipped calories into a healthy, smart approach to the situation.
Some websites suggest a very occasional 24-hour period without food, but this is probably a less advisable approach. If such a step is taken, rather than not eating at all for the 24 hours, simple, healthy snacks like fruit could perhaps be eaten, as opposed to simply not eating at all.
