Former Stars Group CEO Joins BlueRibbon
Rafi Ashkenazi, the man who only recently guided Canadian gaming giant The Stars Group through a massive merger with Flutter Entertainment in his capacity as CEO, has been confirmed as having joined BlueRibbon Software in the capacity of strategic advisor. BlueRibbon is a well-known and respected online casino B2B marketing platform provider.
BlueRibbon has in the meantime expressed the expectation that the veteran gambling industry CEO will play a strategic and central role in the future of the company and its successes to come. Ashkenazi’s main order of business will be help BlueRibbon Software expand its presence across the global iGaming industry.
Based in Malta, BlueRibbon is operated 100% independently, specialising in different forms of player engagement. The provider does this via operator-customisable jackpot promotions. BlueRibbon Software holds licenses from several gambling regulators and authorities, including the MGA (Malta Gaming Authority), the Romanian National Gambling Authority (ONJN), and the UK Gambling Commission.
Experienced In Ways That Matter
The former Stars Group CEO in the past served as CEO of the Rational Group, which is PokerStars’ Isle of Man-based subsidiary. Rational is also the same company that previously owned and operated both the PokerStars brand as well as the now-notorious Full Tilt Poker brand. The group CEO was shortly after appointed in the position of Interim CEO of The Stars Group – at the time Amaya. He was eventually towards the end of 2016 offered the position of permanent chief executive officer of The Stars Group – which he duly accepted.
The celebrated gaming industry veteran was initially offered the role of chief operating officer of now-enlarged Flutter Entertainment. This was obviously following the big merger between Flutter and the Canadian gaming and Poker giant. He however elected not to accept the offer and instead chose to accept BlueRibbon Software’s offer.
Ashkenazi A Valuable HR Asset
BlueRibbon Software is obviously in a very fortunate position for having procured Ashkenazi’s services and consultancy-based expertise. BlueRibbon co-founder and chief executive officer Amir Askerov has described Ashkenazi’s appointment as a thrilling and exciting occasion. Askarov described Rafi Ashkenazi to be a true industry visionary and a business leader and gaming specialist with a keen and insightful eye for the industry to be had only from many years of valuable experience.
Ashkenazi has in turn said that he is truly happy to have been granted the opportunity to join a company of BlueRibbon’s stature and developmental momentum. He described the supplier as having created a great deal of tier-on operator-value in a decidedly short period of time.
