New Dota 2
The Dota 2 storyline centers around Nevermore where the Shadow Fiend has the soul of a thousand poets. Over the ages Nevermore has claimed the souls of priests, emperors, beggars, slaves, poets, philosophers, criminals and heroes but no one knows what he does with the souls. Nevermore reaches out from the Abysm to claim his souls. The evil nature of Nevermore is so overwhelming that few are prepared to fight, but Heroes bring hope.
Dota 2 is the latest in the fantasy Dota series with more features and more elements than ever. Dota 2 features the Demon Eater Arcana, complete with new effects, animations, icons, sounds and an altered voice along with the ability for you to triple-raze your enemies to the ground. There’s also the 6.82 balance update, which introduces an arsenal of tweaks and additions which affect every section of the game. The new Demon Eater Arcana presents a completely overhauled system of retooled and reworked heroes, enhanced Bloodseeker and Phantom Lancerss and more. Most exciting of all, the Dota 2 map has changed, exhibiting new layout changes to Roshan's lair, base fountains, and more.
Dota 2 Heroes
Dota 2 heroes are divided into sections based on strength, agility and intelligence. There are dozens of heroes of the game including Earthshaker, Sven, Tiny, Kunkka, Beastmaster, Dragon Knight, Omniknight, Clockwerk, Legion Commander, Luskar, Tusk, Elder Titan, Phoenix, Earth Spirit, Bristleback, Timbershaw, Centaur Warrunner, 10, Alchimist, Brewmaster and many more
The new episode begins in the Stygian pit where the soul-stealer is reborn. Shadow Fiend is frightening and crafty as he turns the souls of the fallen against his enemies. You’ll need to stay on your toes as Shadow Fiend tries to destroy his enemies. You must increase your power to overcome him — otherwise, Shadow Fiend will continue to steal souls and become victorious.
Dota 2 presents four game modes:
- Shadowraze — in which the Shadow Fiend razes the area in front of him, damaging enemy units throughout the area
- Necromastery — here, the Shadow Fiend steals the souls from the units that he kills which gives him bonus damage. If the killed unit is a hero, Shadow Fiend gains 12 souls.
- Presence of the Dark Lord — in this mode, the Shadow Fiend’s presence reduces the armour of any enemies located nearby
- Requiem of Souls — the Requiem of Souls brings captured souls which are used to slow and reduce the attack damage of nearby enemy units, even as they create more damage. In the Requiem of Souls, one wave of damage is created for every 2 souls that are stored by Necromastery. The closest enemy units are the hardest hit. Requiem of Souls casts automatically when Shadow Fiend dies, independent of any cooldown.
One of the most exciting aspects of Dota 2 is the Hero Build in which players can gain knowledge about a specific hero. When a player builds a hero he obtains helpful advice on which abilities to level up and when, what items to acquire for the hero and which strategies and tactics have the best chance of succeeding. When you log into your Dota 2 game you’ll be taken to your local Hero Build page where you can create and edit heroes
To use a Hero Build, click the “Hero Build Panel” button at the top-left corner of the game’s webpage. Identify the default build for the hero that you play. You’ll find Builds that you’ve made yourself, Builds other users have published as well as Builds that you’ve subscribed to on the Steam Community. You can share your Hero Builds with others via the Hero Build page on the Dota 2 website. You can select “Publish your Build Privately” which ensures that only you can see it; publish it to your Steam Friends or publish it to the entire gaming community.
Once a Hero Build has been published it will show up in the Steam Community where other people can subscribe to it, leave comments, favourite it or even rate it.
