Huawei Rolls Out New GameCenter Platform
Chinese technology and smart phone giant Huawei has officially gone live with its all-new Huawei GameCenter in 33 countries.
A platform designed specifically to bring mobile gaming communities together by making available to them content of a superb quality and ongoing rewards, GameCenter is now officially available to users in Latin America, Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East.
Huawei GameCenter can be downloaded via Huawei’s proprietary AppGallery, the smartphone giant has said.
Content And User-Welfare
Combining high-quality content with a focus on the welfare of the end-user, the platform allows users to pre-order games, purchase released games, and also gain access to highly popular gaming content, the company has said.
Users will additionally also be in a position to purchase exclusive digital gaming packages as well as take advantage of a host of special offers. By buying and playing games, users will essentially “grow” and expand their profiles on an awards-style basis, thereby unlocking even more discounts and added benefits.
Several featured games have now been launched exclusively via Huawei’s new GameCenter platform. New games include BORN AS EPIC, Survival Road, Farm Legend, Ellr Land, and Starship Legion-AMG. Popular existing games accessible via GameCenter include AFK Arena, Brain Out, Rise of Kingdoms: Lost Crusade, Asphalt 9: Legends – Epic Car Action Racing Game, Perfect World, Saint Seiya Awakening: Knights of Zodiac, and many, many more.
Helping Games Developers
But not only does the new platform benefit the player or end-user, because developers making use of Huawei when creating their games, stand to benefit in a big way too. HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) developers are as it is, already creating incredible new gaming experiences by incorporating into their games Huawei’s so-called Chipset-Device-Cloud capabilities.
Thanks to the launch and roll-out of GameCenter, Huawei developers now get to take advantage of even more benefits. These include:
- Technical support to those games developers in need of integrating their games with Huawei’s HMS core.
- Help with the localisation of games developed in overseas regions – this so as to make those games more accessible and local-friendly.
- Access to the Huawei-supported “Shining Star” programme. The programme provides more than $1 billion in funding and support-services to emerging developers and iGaming software talent.
- Huawei offers to its partner-developers a favourable revenue-share agreement model. Developers also get to take advantage of advertising and promotional perks and benefits within the GameCenter distribution brand.
Future upgrades will reportedly also feature an in-app social community not unlike that offered by any mainstream social media platform.
