Hard Rock And GiG Enter US Sports Betting
It’s an innovative partnership built on equal capability and a shared passion for the entertainment business, and the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City and the Gaming Innovation Group joint venture will soon ensure the iconic Hard Rock group’s successful entry into New Jersey’s newly regulated and very promising sports betting market.
The group recently confirmed that the earmark was to commence with land-based as well as online sports betting services at its Atlantic City casino venue early in 2019. The Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) will ensure that all the necessary technology is in place and running smoothly and the duo will be jointly responsible for all sports betting operations at the New Jersey-based casino.
The new project will not only be a first for Hard Rock, but will also fulfill an important milestone for GiG, as this will be the technology giant’s first point of entry into the United States market too.
A New Look For Trump’s Taj Mahal
The famous casino brand opened its doors at the location of the former Trump Taj Mahal in June of this year, just about around the time that sports betting was finally given the thumbs up and legalized in the state. The group had purchased the famous building from a New York investor by the name of Carl Icahn for a sturdy $80 million. The property sale was concluded in 2017, and the entertainment group has since invested somewhere along the lines of $500 million in order to revamp the venue into a luxurious Indian-themed hotel and casino resort.
The Hard Rock property, which was previously owned and managed by current US President Donald J. Trump, is now ready to join New Jersey’s exciting market in collaboration with technology masters, GiG.
Two Top Forces Rolled Into One
The Gaming Innovation Group, or GiG, already supplies the Hard Rock group with an online casino offering, and will now avail its complete suite of sports betting services as part of the penned agreement too. Thanks to the Hard Rock having elected to join forces with one of the best in the business in terms of games-driven technology, the world-famous group will soon be offering self-service betting terminals, a complete online betting service compatible with mobile as well as desktop operating systems, and last but not least, on the spot over the counter betting services.
According to Hard Rock’s SVP for online gaming, Kresimir Spajic, the fact that sports betting will soon be available at the Atlantic City venue, marks yet another step of progress towards the group becoming a leading force in the national as well as the international casino and sports betting business.
