Bragg Gaming Acquires Wild Streak Gaming
Bragg Gaming group has energised its US casino games operations by acquiring premium casino content creator Wild Streak Gaming. The acquisition price of $30 million is made up of $10 million in cash, and the balance in Bragg shares to be paid over the next three years.
In return, Bragg will acquire the rights to 39 premium casino titles developed across the iGaming and land-based platforms, all intellectual assets, and the talents of a design team that includes renowned developer Doug Fallon. Currently the CEO of Wild Streak Gaming, Fallon has over 20 years of relevant industry experience across the design and marketing space, with having spent 11 of those years at Aristocrat before founding his own company.
Fallon will now join the Bragg Gaming team in his capacity as Managing Director of Group Content.
Wild Streak A US Beacon
Bragg CEO Richard Carter was full of praise for Fallon and his team at the time of the announcement of the acquisition successfully inked. Carter said the team had a track record for developing premium land-based and online casino content that was nothing short of enviable.
Premium content is “king”, said Carter, adding that Fallon will play a key role in leading Bragg through its new big content strategy in the US. Fallon will reportedly also work closely together with Bragg’s European design team for the cross-facilitation of European content for US operators and providers.
Carter furthermore explained that Fallon’s and the expertise of the Wild Streak design team will bring many years of experience and proven expertise relating to specifically content tailored for the US market to the table, making of Wild Streak’s human resources a valuable acquisition and addition to Bragg Gaming.
Focused On Growth
Fallon said he’s particularly excited to be joining the company responsible for the ORYX Gaming platform, which he said is a robust and tenacious foundation boosted by additional capabilities in casino content development. He said the games makers at Wild Streak are very much looking forward to becoming a cornerstone component within the bigger growth strategy of the Bragg Gaming group.
For the year 2020, Wild Streak Gaming reported US$1.05 million in revenue, with EBITDA of US$233,000. For the first quarter of 2021, the premium content developer reported US$487,000 in revenue, and EBITDA to the value of US$241,000.
Since historical content designed specifically for the European market has clearly emerged as a non-resonator with traditional American casino games players, Wild Streak’s US expertise will become of immeasurable value to the Bragg group over the next few years.
