Seneca Resorts & Casinos Cancel Live Shows
All live performances and music shows previously scheduled by New York’s Seneca Resorts and Casinos for the remaining months of 2020 have been cancelled, the gaming and entertaining establishment has confirmed.
Cancelled shows include those planned Seneca Niagara Event Center, Seneca Allegany Event Center, and Seneca Niagara Bear’s Den Showroom have been axed for what’s left of 2020 – all of which obviously only adds to the woes of casino venues operated by the Seneca Nation of Indians, who only received the re-opening greenlight for their gaming venues in June.
Cancellations Through January
Now, months after tribal casino operators received the re-opening greenlight, Seneca casino resorts will once again have to be the bringers of bad news as all live entertainment events through January 2021 have been cancelled.
Shows previously booked for the affected months include long-awaited spectaculars such as The Village People, which was previously planned for November 5 and 6. Said shows were initially scheduled to start at around 8 p.m. on both evenings, with locals having looked forward to engaging with the music and the on-stage entertainment. Many of the tickets to both shows have already been purchased by eager and excited fans.
Another performance necessary postponed is that by American country singer and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis – whose music was supposed to have dazzled and entertained local country music fans far into the evening of January 30.
You Lose Some, But You Win Some
No new dates for the postponed events have been set or confirmed as of yet. The operator has however said that the current expectation is that all shows planned for the remainder of 2020 will only be in a position to commence come February next year. And those fans for whatever reason unwilling to indulge the postponements will according to Seneca Resorts and Casinos be fully refunded upon request. Refunds are reportedly available at the original point where the tickets were purchased.
But the past few days have been bitter-sweet for the Seneca Nation of Indians, because their New York State-scattered gaming establishments have been awarded some of the top awards this year handed down by the prestigious Best of Gaming 2020 Awards of Casino Player Magazine.
Awards won include Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino winning first place in the category’s best rooms and best slot machines. Senega Niagara joined the winners’ circle by acing the top prize for best Keno and best carnival games available.
And Seneca Niagara, Seneca Allegany, and Seneca Buffalo each walked away with top recognitions for an array of prestigious achievements. These include top awards won in the categories best betting options, best hosts, best hotel, best dealers and even best spa and best golf course.
