LeoVegas’ Pink Casino Brand Coming To Canada

Canadians will soon be able to enjoy all of the best online casino entertainment offered by LeoVegas’ Pink Casino brand. The international online casino operator announced on Monday that it will for the first time ever take its Pink Casino brand beyond the borders of the UK – and that its first next big-brand stop will be Canada.

The announcement from LeoVegas comes as Ontario’s provincial government continues to draft and finalise the necessary legislation that will end the online gaming monopoly currently enjoyed by Crown operator the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG). The OLG was for the longest time the only operator approved to offer online gambling games in Ontario – via its PlayOLG online gaming domain.

Once the new legislation is enforced, the local market will be opened up to private operators such as LeoVegas.

Something For The Ladies

According to LeoVegas’ announcement, its Pink Casino brand is designed to appeal specifically to the female target group and is a brand that fully embodies entertainment.

Several other LeoVegas brands are already live in Canada, and the company says it expects to draw on its experience across local markets as it prepares to launch Pink Casino locally. Allowing the casino giant to expand into Canada is a migration of its UK brands with its technical platform, which migration it reportedly completed earlier this year.

Launching the Pink Casino brand in Canada is according to the company’s statement part of a broader strategy focused on utilising existing brands and local resources in such a way that profitable commercial growth is brought about.

North America Is Exciting

The company is excited to be in a position to continue its expansion in North America, said LeoVegas group CEO Gustaf Hagman. Canadian expansion is a superb way for the brand to use its existing strengths in a way that is conducive to driving profitable growth, the group chief executive said. Canada classes as a Rest of World region, a region the gaming giant has confirmed accounted for at least 18% of its total revenue during Q3 of 2020.

Hagman is a CEO fully focused on innovation. During a recent interview with a prominent gaming publication, Hagman spoke about the importance of remaining relevant and technologically up to date. Having the kinds of people capable of driving innovation within the golden circle of the company is important, said Hagman. Failing this, companies run a real risk of becoming stationary dinosaurs, he said.
