DraftKings Named First UFC Betting Partner

Sportsbook and daily fantasy betting giant DraftKings have nabbed quite the new partnership privilege. The Boston-based sports betting and entertainment provider announced on Thursday that it has completed an historical deal by being named the first-ever sportsbook and daily fantasy partner of the UFC (Ultimate Fight Club).

The exclusive partnership will remain in place across the United States and Canada for a period of 5 years and is regarded one of the most notable partnerships formed in the history of the UFC. The deal is estimated to be worth a cool $350 million and authorises DraftKings to offer to UFC fans a variety of in-fight special promos, the right to make use of UFC logos and branding for promotional and advertising purposes, and also odds integrations during live broadcasts of events and fights.

In addition to in-fight offerings and odds, the sports betting provider will also be offering to UFC fans weekly free-to-play games alongside a variety of interesting extras such as fan engagement bonus prizes and ramped-up prop bets.

The New Betting Face Of The UFC

DraftKings will reportedly also be a presenting partner for the new time-keeping system for fights recently rolled out by the UFC. This makes of the daily sports betting provider one of the official brand partners of the UFC Fight Clock system.

In addition to branding presented on the official timepieces of the competition, DraftKings will also enjoy prime brand positioning and presence on the canvas during a variety of UFC fights and promotional events – including the Dana White’s Contender Series.

Huge Excitement All Round

According to UFC president Dana White, who recently alluded to a massive deal being in the offing, along with the phenomenal impact this deal is expected to have on fans, the partnership with DraftKings is regarded the most significant deal ever closed by the organisation – and particularly so with the focus on increased fan engagement as well as the procurement and reaching of new UFC enthusiasts.

Also commenting on the new deal had been DraftKings executive chairman and CEO Jason Robins. Referring to the booming popularity of the UFC across the provider’s sports betting and daily fantasy offerings, Robins said January’s UFC 257 fight had been the biggest MMA event in the history of the popular platform.

Building on the successes of past collaborations between the UFC and DraftKings, Robins said the sports betting provider is now more than ready to explore even bigger and more significant integrations for improving the experience of fans.
