ALEA Night Club

A recent $47 renovation project attests to the growing attraction that casino gambling has for Ottawa residents and visitors. The Casino Lac Leamy, located just 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa, has opened the ALÉA night club which offers a high caliber nightclub experience to casino visitors and other local travelers and residents.

The ALÉA night club opened in October 2014 with the intention of creating an exclusive entertainment venue in the heart of Canada’s capital. Casino patrons are welcome to take advantage of the casino games and eateries or may simply come to the casino to enjoy the drinks the food and the entertainment.

The goals of the Casino Lac Leamy in creating such a refined atmosphere included the desire to bring the refined environment of gracious nightlife to Ottawa. Ottawa hosts Canada’s parliament, government offices and dozens of embassies from around the world, but until the ALÉA club opened, there was little for these people to do for their evening or weekend entertainment.

Now with the ALÉA night club and the Casino Lac Leamy, it’s possible to look forward to world-class performances, excellent dining, interactive casino entertainment and the company of gracious fellow-visitors, all available via a quick drive along the Boulevard Maisonneuve N on the shores of Lac Leamy.

Ottawa Nightlife

The Casino Lac Leamy and ALÉA Night Club are drawing patrons from around the world who come to the casino to experience superior casino entertainment and stylish Canadian nightlife. A recent visit to the casino, and a night spent at the ALÉA Night Club, confirmed the venue’s reputation as one that offers gracious exclusivity. The nightclub is a bit removed from the gaming floors so you don’t feel as though you’re in a gambling site — all of the rooms have been soundproofed with a special noise reduction material so, once in the club, you feel as though you’re actually in a New York club.

It’s clear that the casino spared no expense in creating ALÉA. Its polished wood furnishings offer an intimate feel that give you the impression of a small, friendly dancing venue. In fact, only about 200 people can be in the club at any one time, so it really is an intimate affair. The dance floor is close to the DJ’s booth so you hear the music clearly, regardless of where you’re located on the dance floor. If you enjoy being feted as a VIP you can reserve one of the VIP tables which are located right next to the DJ booth. These are the two 3-person booths at either side of the DJ booths and are so close to the DJ that they’re integrated into all the action. There are 2 more VIP booths next to the 2nd dance floor.

Music-wise, the ALÉA delivers, with a Meyer sound system made up to a 20,00 watt RMS that delivers the sound clearly and distinctly. ALÉA is open two nights a week, Fridays and Saturdays. One night caters to the hip-hop/Top 40 crowd and the other night features electronic dance music.
