World Winter Masters Games

Competitive Sport for All

Where do athletes, from the internationally-known to average competitors, go when they can no longer compete with the new generation of whippersnappers? One place athletes who love competition can continue to compete is the World Masters Games. This event was first held in Toronto in the summer of 1965. It featured athletes from age 25 and above, although most games had a 30+ minimum age requirement. The summer games are held every four years.

Ring in the New Year at the Canadian University Ringette Championships

The Canadian University Ringette Championships will be held from December 28 to December 31. The tournament will be hosted by the University of Calgary Dinos Ringette Club. The games will be played at the Markin MacPhail Centre, Winsport Arena A in Calgary. The round robin games are scheduled for Sunday and Monday, December 28th and 29th. The quarter-finals and semi-finals are on Tuesday and the Bronze and Gold Medal games are on Wednesday.
